Introduction to Kumihimo Braiding

Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese form of braiding, which is traditionally done with silk cords. Nowadays, Kumihimo braids can be done with a great variety of materials, from leather to yarn. In this class, you will use two different kind of cords to create a necklace which can be work many different ways; the photos show the necklace tied with a Chinese knot which will be taught in class. A variety of colours will be available for you to choose from.
