Instructor Bio

Doris Erwin, resident of the Gatineau Hills, I recently retired from the Public Service, have been a member of the Ottawa Bead Society for the past two years. I have always been interesting in jewellery and beading, but found I never had the time to do anything about it - except buy pieces made by someone else. Now that I have the time, I am always looking out for new techniques and designs. My very first class was a chain maille piece (pearl in a cage) - and took off from there. Just this past year, I have started doing some wire wrapping - an area that I want to explore more - incorporating crystals and varied findings.
